The internet is a great tool, but as a (self-considered) crafty businesswoman, I had NO IDEA the infinite resources it offers for marketing. It just goes to show you that we all don’t know what we don’t know.
I love the internet, I love my technology, and I thought I knew what was possible for me when using it. And frankly, when it comes to changing my systems, I tend to balk. I’m productive, I’m effective, I am a result-producer. Why fix it if it ain’t broke? Right? WRONG! Just because it ain’t broke, doesn’t mean it’s optimized. I have been learning this lesson the hard way for the last few months.
With a commitment to break my tech-bonehead barrier, I employed my very own internet guru, Cesar Serna (www.soxialize.com) to take me on and teach me all I need to know to have an internet presence. Not just any old website, but rather, a site that pulls in a community of people that are committed to having amazing lives and businesses. (Which was HIS idea.) This site offers clients and the public resources and tools to help them accomplish their dreams.
I have to tell you that as a productivity coach, it is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND REFRESHING to have someone to bounce creative ideas off of. Cesar is a great coach and he has really inspired me to develop my business to a whole new level! (Yes, even the coach needs coaches… I’m no hypocrit!) By taking on a coach to push me to grow in a new area (one I have even resisted ), I have discovered a whole level of resources I didn’t know existed. That discovery mode has translated into results in many other areas. Out of my work with Cesar, I been spurred on to create a whole new set of public seminars based on new coaching systems I have created. Creativity and growth are contagious and explosive.
When you put your mind into a new paradigm of thinking, your creativity and passion begin to flow to other areas of your life and business. New experiences LITERALLY light a whole new portion of synapses in your brain and the “electricity” (if you will) spreads to everything you do. I am waking up every morning with a new idea, a passion for my coaching and a future that was not going to happen before I took this project on… it’s moved WAY beyond just the internet.
It’s not about the internet
This lesson is vitally important for people who crave productivity. Life is about pushing yourself to take on something new: cold calling, biking, a new language, exercise, tennis… anything you’ve never done before! Maybe even something you’re nervous about tackling…
CALL TO ACTION:
Every time you push yourself to grow, your possibilities grow exponentially.
P.S. Just to wet your appetite for my new thing… internet marketing, read this great article I was tweeted this morning:
