Have you ever pondered the legacy you’ll leave behind in a century, like in 2124?
Just picture this: in the not-so-distant future, our earthly possessions will fade into obscurity, but the impact of our love and kindness will endure.
As strangers inhabit the homes we built with sweat and determination, we must remember that our true wealth lies not in material possessions, but in the depth of our connections and the goodness we spread. Can you think of three things that you did today that positively impacted someone else’s life?
“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” – Martin Luther King Jr.
When was the last time you spoke up for someone who was disadvantaged, being bullied or being discriminated against?
Though our names will likely fade from memory, the echoes of our actions ripple through time, shaping the world for generations to come. Every kind or generous action we take creates a ripple that changes someone’s life for the better.
“What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal.” – Albert Pine
Today, take a hard look at your life. Inventory, how often you are intentionally being a positive impact to the people in the environment around you. Tell the truth: where are you falling short? Are there areas where you could speak up more loudly? Are there things you could be doing today, maybe just a random act of kindness, that could impact the future of someone in your environment?
Let’s seize each precious moment, savoring the simple joys of laughter, love, and companionship. My challenge to you is to pick one ran active kindness that you could do every single day. Watch how the power of that act begins to change your life and the quality of the lives of those around you.
“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Embrace gratitude, spread kindness, and live each day with purpose, for every minute of life is a gift waiting to be unwrapped.
