One of the fundamental premises of my coaching is that when your life is out of balance, you need to go to the root; which is integrity. And I don’t mean the kind of integrity that is moralistic: doing the right thing, etc. When I talk about integrity, I’m talking about having your life line up with who you say you are in all areas. Integrity is about living a “complete” life without unfinished projects, unfinished conversations and conflicts that are waiting to be resolved. When your integrity is “in,” you feel at peace, on top of things and your life is fluid. When your integrity is “out,” you are suffering in your life. Chaos is present and everything feels unfinished and overwhelming.
Well, the solution to this out of control feeling is to sit down and write an integrity list–basically a list of things that are undone, waiting for your attention and incomplete. Then, you cross everything off the list that you are just NOT going to do. The rest gets scheduled into your calendar as an appointment for you to get it done.
This exercise is always really beneficial to me, and to my clients. It’s a quick and easy way to gain control of your overwhelm and reboot your life. It is as if it puts you back in the driver’s seat. Try it today. See what happens when you remove the overwhelm and take control of your time. #MiraclesHappen
