I saw this meme today but honestly, I’m still just frustrated with myself. I’m really sick of the roller coaster: doing great for several weeks, going underground the next. I know I’m making progress, but I want it faster, more consistently.
This impatience, though, is what has sabotaged my efforts in the past. I have always traded in long term change for what I hope is a quick fix. So, it is crucial that I learn to be patient and to keep moving forward, even after I take a few steps back. When I make a mistake, I need to learn from it and keep growing; keep learning new ways to approach old problems. This is the key to transforming beyond my food issues and creating a mindset that is bigger than my internal sabotager.

Hi,
I am so excited that I hope soon I will be able to join this wonderful life journey, just waiting on the funds. I have tried every possible diet and weight loss plan out there short of gastric bypass. I admire your honesty, and have followed your journey. You have come a long way, maybe not where you want to be, but you will continue on instead of giving in and giving up to your old habits. I write this in hopes that it will encourage you, and when I am at a low point that I will also remember these words. Thanks for being you! Paula O’Brien Slaasted

Thanks for joining me on this journey. It takes effort and commitment to keep going inside of failing and that is one of the biggest lessons I am learning! You can’t become a “new person” without pushing up against the old habits. Thanks you for your kind words Paula!
